How we verify, and what this site is not

Method

Each fact on a program card comes from that program's own page, read on the date shown. If a detail was not on the page, the card says "not stated" rather than guessing.
Third-party lists are used to find programs, not to fill in rules. When a third-party document and the program's own page disagree or cannot be matched, we use the program page or leave it out. Example from our check on 2026-10-17: one third-party PDF gave eligibility details for Brown Dog Foundation that its own pages do not repeat, so we did not include them; and an older direct application link on Brown Dog's site returned a 404.
Statistics are quoted with their source, sample and date, and some come from organizations that sell veterinary services or pet products; we say so.
We re-check listings on a schedule and update the last-verified date only when we have re-read the source.

Never pay to apply: be careful with any site or message that asks for fees or full payment card details to "unlock" a grant. Use the official links on each card.
